Bob Nunis

Strategic Guidance. Proven Experience.

For more than three decades, Bob Nunis has handled significant civil litigation throughout Texas, combining courtroom experience with practical advice and direct attorney oversight.

Biography

Bob Nunis has been representing Texans since 1987 and has tried more than 150 cases to verdict in courts throughout the state. Over the course of his career, he has earned a reputation for providing practical advice, careful case evaluation, and experienced courtroom advocacy in significant civil disputes.

Bob began his legal career as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas, where he served as a lead trial attorney handling complex civil litigation on behalf of the State. During his eight years with the Attorney General’s Office, he gained extensive trial experience and developed the strategic approach that continues to guide his practice today.

In 1995, Bob founded his private practice with the goal of providing clients with direct attorney involvement and thoughtful representation rather than the high-volume approach common at many firms. Today, Nunis & Associates intentionally accepts a limited number of matters so that every case receives the focused attention it deserves.

Bob’s practice is concentrated primarily in construction defects, consumer protection and Deceptive Trade Practices Act claims, business litigation, contract disputes, real estate litigation, and other complex civil matters. He is licensed to practice in all Texas state and federal courts and remains actively involved in the firm’s most significant cases.

Clients appreciate Bob’s straightforward approach. He believes that good legal representation begins with honest advice — even when that means telling a prospective client that litigation may not be the best solution. The firm’s philosophy is simple: accept matters where it can provide genuine value and meaningful results, and decline those where it cannot.

Bob earned his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from St. Edward’s University before receiving his Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law. Before entering the legal profession, he served in the United States Air Force and received the Outstanding Leadership Commendation.

A fifth-generation Austinite, Bob continues to personally oversee the firm’s litigation strategy and remains committed to helping individuals and businesses navigate significant legal disputes with experience, candor, and practical judgment.
